Red My Lips Campaign
***Trigger warning sexual violence... read with caution*** Have you ever heard of this powerful sexual violence campaign called Red My Lips? I have been a follower of this organization for years and I love everything that they stand for. April is Sexual Assault Awareness month! With 'Thirteen Reasons Why' now becoming even more increasingly popular, I feel as if this post is needed. People like the fictional character, Bryce Walker on 'Thirteen Reasons Why' exist and they happen to exist in our communities. I think it is important to stand up for the survivors that cannot speak for themselves and stand with the ones that can.

I am Enough
Statements of affirmations often help rewire negative brain functions. As I began this post I realized that the words I was writing were turning into affirmations instead of a poem. Your brain can process a significant amount of information every single second. I think that it is important to consume positive content, especially while you're struggling. So it takes everything you think and say literally. When you speak to yourself and others in a positive way, it changes you on a DNA level in my opinion. I always felt ugly after being mean to someone.
