navy masking tape peels from the walls we painted, where I’ll live alone.
glowing in the gloom, companion in the darkness; blue computer screen.
whispers in corners of his blue eyes, stealing life. his own ghosts haunt him.
spectrum of all things azure waves to midnight deep; playground and graveyard.
“close your eyes,” he breaths, “I see music in colors; yours is crumpled blue.”
hidden in branches unexpected treasure; bright blue promise of spring.
web of blue veins wind under moon-white skin, a map points you to my heart.
eyes bright against snow consider prey before them; too late to escape.
vibrant hues embrace, emerald and cobalt kiss; sing of home I mourn.
doll in a teal dress lies elegantly beside car’s burning wreckage.
papery, mottled, raised blue veins limning my hands. where did the time go?
