take good care of my Papa. please make sure it’s not too dark in your arms.
creep back up shorelines, reclaim your territory from our careless hands.
burn not your secrets. give them to the ocean, and she’ll not relinquish.
how I take you for granted. each small, unnoticed breath, a vital gift.
air and water, mixed and lashed by lightning. fearsome Thor’s displeasure, writ.
flame fed by stolen air. I don’t think it wanted to hurt me, just dance.
small, dark and safe, hold all your creatures for second birth, womb of decay.
cleanse me, nourish me, carry me on the whale-road even as I drown.
mankind owes a debt. bounty of Prometheus, gifted at great cost.
