General Hospital receives numerous nominations General Hospital celebrated 59 years on April 1st and now is entering it's 6th decade on daytime television. This year the soap has an impressive 17 nominations for the 2022 Daytime Emmy Awards. The Young and the Restless on CBS beat the ABC by one. having 18 nominations.

Dean Winters: Meet “Mayhem” ‘the Allstate guy
Dean Winters is Mayhem If you watch network television then you have more than likely seen "Mayhem" who is the Allstate Insurance company’s answer to Jake from Statefarm. This comical character is portrayed by actor Dean Winters and in each televised ad he acts out examples of various predicaments where Allstatemay be needed by drivers to protect them from "Mayhem”. The insurance mascot often finds himself in dangerous situations and is seen looking disheveled with a bruised face and a bandage on his cheek.

Dear mom I wish I could have told you the truth
Dear mom, I did the right thing and gave you gifts each Mother’s Day but my heart was not in it. Each time I read the warm and fuzzy verses on the cards in the stores I knew I would be lying if I gave one of them to you: Baloons, Tee shirts and other gifts that said " World's best mother" only reinforced to me that these descriptions were not about us.

Rey's death leads to rumors of Paul's return to The Young and the Restless
Doug Davidson rumors return Doug Davidson’s character Paul Williams was dropped as a regular on The Young and the Restless in 2018. Paul was on hand when the CBS soap celebrated 40 years of Eric Braeden and Victor Newman while the same was not done regarding Davidson's 5 decades on the show. Then head writer Mal Young even had Rey Todskes (Jordi Vilasuso) sitting in Paul’s chair at the GCPD and fans were livid.

The Young and the Restless dishonored Rey in several ways
The Young and the Restless plays favorites The Young and the Restless writers stunned fans by killing off Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) just when it looked like he might begin a relationship with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). This was just a setup for what was coming and some viewers felt like they were deceived. Truthfully Rey was actually long gone months before the fatal accident.

General Hospital casts Evan Hofer as Dex who might replace Jason
General Hospital: A possible new enforcer Last week on General Hospital Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard ) announced that Brick (Stephen C Smith) would be taking over the duties of the presumed dead Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Smith is a sportscaster and is currently involved in several projects at this time. Viewers would love to see more of Brick but have assumed that his additional responsibilities would mostly be off-screen. Now it has been revealed that Evan Hofer has been hired by the ABC soap as a character who will seek a job working for Sonny.
