The snow had been falling steadily since morning, blanketing the small town of Willowbrook in a hush that only winter could bring. Pregnancy After Loss
Growing up, I never wanted kids. I never wanted to get married. Mainly because of how messed up my family was, I always thought my family would be doomed. Kids were not a desire of mine, I was adamant on not having kids I even looked into getting my tubes tied at one point. I am happy that I did not pursue that and I am happy that my mindset shifted. My mindset shifted when I realized that I can break the generational ties and curses that were holding my family captive. My future family did not have to be held captive by the upbringing I endured and it was up to me to change that narrative.

It was recently brought to my attention that a family member no longer feels like they're a priority in my life. How do you navigate through a comment like that? How do you tell them nicely without hurting their feelings that they're not a priority?

Who am I
Many people have not gotten to know this girl, and I wish they did. I know I miss her. I caught a glimpse of her in 2017 on a missions trip to New York City. I'm on a long journey to bring her back, she's been hidden since 2012.

Family Isn't Blood
Do you remember growing up and all you heard was "they're your family"? I remember hearing that phrase often, but what constitutes a family? Traditionally, a family is 2 parents with a child, that's what we've been told at least. Since being married, I realize that's also not true. My family is my husband and I, yes, we have our families we grew up with, but we are now a family, whether we have kids or pets.

Pregnancy Loss
After trying to conceive for over a year, my husband and I were overjoyed to notice 2 pink lines show up on a pregnancy test in June, the day before father's day. We struggle with fertility because of a low count and motility and a hormonal imbalance, male and female factored, double whammy. I had finally been able to tell my husband, happy first father's day. Tears of excitement and happiness, soon to be tears of pain and heartache.
