Has Any Human Being Really Ever Been to Space?
I am not a scientist. I have never studied physics, engineering, or astronomy. Scientific reasoning does not come naturally to me. I rely more on common sense and personal observation than on data and equations. And when it comes to the story we have been told about space exploration, I cannot help but feel that something is off.

"Sorrows of Satan" and the Stories That Become Us.
Some books do not just pass through your hands. They quietly take root in your soul. I was about eleven or twelve when I first encountered The Sorrows of Satan by Marie Corelli. It was not a book I picked up out of curiosity or saw trending anywhere. It came into my life because someone believed I could handle it — a book far older than I was, written in a language far more ornate than anything I was used to. My English literature teacher, Mr. Zachariah, was the kind of teacher you do not forget: gentle, perceptive, and quietly brilliant. He placed the book in my hands as if handing over something sacred.

Talking To Trees.
I walked home tired the kind of tired that sinks into your bones and makes the sky feel heavier than it should There was a tree along my path steady and tall a quiet witness to many afternoons like this one and I thought maybe I’ll lean on you just for a moment just to rest.

Behind the Silence: What Writing “Consent” Taught Me.
When I submitted Consent to Vocal’s “I Didn’t Say That Out Loud” Challenge, I wasn’t sure what would happen. I honestly didn’t expect to place. I wrote the poem from a very real, very personal place and let it go with the quiet hope that someone might read it and feel seen. When I found out I came second, I was stunned. Grateful. Emotional. It’s the kind of encouragement you don’t realize you need until it finds you.

I Tried Adding Baking Soda to My Beans and It Worked.
Okay, so hear me out... I just learned the easiest little cooking trick, and I honestly can’t believe I didn’t know this sooner. If you ever cook dried beans at home (or even thought about it), you need to try this.
