Accepting Defeat
We all have encountered an defeat in our lives. It could be losing a high school state championship game or as simple as being rejected by somebody that you like. Those defeats will sting, and some of them may sting more then others. But the great thing about life is, as long as you are still breathing there is an opportunity to pick yourself up and try again. If we are victorious in everything we do in life we will not be able to learn from the mistakes that are made in it. Even through defeat there is a lesson to be learned from that scenario. Everybody successful have taken an loss, the difference is those people took that loss and bettered themselves with it.

We Are The Flash
There are so many great duos that have been formed since the dawn of time. We have duos like Batman and Robbin, Kobe and Shaq, peanut butter and jelly, one pair that is the “underdog“ is from one of my favorite shows on CW, “The Flash”. There is two characters on the show that starts off as friends that help save the world from all their enemies that come in their way, that built a chemistry through all the trials and tribulations they have encountered. The two characters I am speaking of is Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen.

The World Is Your Playground
We are currently living in some difficult times with covid-19 entering all our lives and interruping our normal daily routine, and over the past few months we have had to create new routines to adapt to our circumstances. Majority gyms have been closed leaving us to find other alternatives to stay active and fit. If your life is anything like mine, that may be a difficult task with trying to balance a full time job working over 60 hours a week, being a parent as well, and also being in a relationship. People would ask where do you find the time to do anything else with the little time you have in between that. It’s simple you make the time for it. There is an old saying that goes “people make time for the things that they really want to do”. That old saying is true. If you are really passionate about doing something you will find the time in your busy schedule for it and that includes being active!

Your marriage or relationship could be failing because of these reasons.
In today’s society many marriages and relationships are ending because the basic principles that relationships are built on have diminished. With modern technology and the new ways of living in the last decade has given us great pleasure, it has also caused damage on the core principles of what is needed to make a relationship last. Families are now eating their meals in their living rooms and bedrooms with their eyes glued to their cellphones and tablets. Families are no longer sitting at the kitchen table having conversations. Over a period of time that become the new normal and the communication goes down. Along with communication, trust, and financial issues are all reasons why relationships do not last anymore. You have more marriages and relationships ending in divorce or are afraid to even seek commitment because of the fear of failing.

Hero or sellout?
We are living in difficult times where good paying jobs are hard to find without a college education or vocational training makes it even harder to find a job that will pay the bills and take care of our families. It makes it twice as hard being an African American male without a college degree. The options you have to stay financially stable become smaller. Though it’s not impossible, in today’s society it makes the task more challenging.
