A New Life
I look down into the bassinet to see my baby girl peacefully asleep. Her mocha skin shimmers from the stream of light that peaks through the blinds. As I stand there, I watch her chest expand and collapse with each little breath. Like the waves at low tide her breath is slow, quiet and distant. I stare at her as her eye lids open with haste and enthusiasm. My baby looks up at me and I see her big, pecan brown colored eyes staring back at me. She acknowledges my presence by beaming from cheek to cheek, signaling to me that she ready to start a new day.

Where is Teflon
Have you watched “The Devil We Know?” or “Dark Waters” yet? I highly recommend that you do. My partner and I watched them a few weeks ago and after watching both the documentary and the Hollywood rendition, we threw out all our ‘non-stick’ pots and pans, our rice cooker, waffle maker and about 10 packages of dental floss. Yes, you heard me correctly, it is in our dental floss. Watching both films, opened my eyes to what was lurking in most house holds and is linked to many forms of cancer.
