He walks along the hallways,
Unaware of his surroundings,
Constantly looking at the floor,
Ignoring the ranting and raving,
Telling himself that he is normal.
Suddenly he feels a shock,
And looks down at his chest,
There upon his leather jacket,
Lay a mark of shame.
He walks along the hallways,
Unaware of his surroundings,
Constantly looking at the floor,
Ignoring the ranting and raving,
Telling himself that he is normal.
He continues to walk,
Fearful of whats to come,
He sits all alone,
No one he can share his troubles with.
Laying in bed wondering what he's to do,
He falls asleep with angst,
Turmoil in his heart,
Eyes closed and thoughts to God.
A new day has arrived,
He feels hopeful and renewed.
He walks along the hallways,
Unaware of his surroundings,
Constantly looking at the floor,
Ignoring the ranting and raving,
Telling himself that he is normal.
Suddenly adrenaline comes over him,
As he reaches in his pocket,
They all begin to silence,
Silver, round and beautiful,
A harmful toy falling out of his pocket and into his hands,
He holds it firmly,
Shaking, and rocking,
Slowly he pulls the trigger,
And finds his best friend on the floor.
Handcuffed he walks along the hallway,
Pulse racing aware of his surroundings,
Scared to look ahead,
Ignoring the stares and crying,
Telling himself that he is not normal.
