My Review of "Spider-Man (2002)"
Spider-Man (2002) kicked off a long line-up of superhero movies. I remember it ushering in another superhero renaissance. Though I see the groundwork from older superhero movies in this movie as well. Back when this first came out it was such a revelation. Watching this again over 20 years later still gives me great enjoyment and a resurgence of old memories.

My Review of "Genie"
Genie is one of the many Christmas holiday releases on Amazon Prime in 2023. It looked pretty lighthearted and easy to get into so I decided to take the plunge. I am glad that I did because this is one of the most wholesome holiday releases this year that I've seen.

My Review of "Akira"
Akira is a famous Japanese anime that came out in 1988. I have heard about this movie all my life but have been afraid to check it out. That's not to say people haven't tried to push me to watch this movie before. While I was in high school and university people wouldn't shut up about this movie.

My Review of "Candy Cane Lane"
Candy Cane Lane is a recent release on Amazon Prime. It felt like a bigger budget holiday movie to get us back into the Christmas holiday spirit. In a sense it does that. As an adult you have to remember that this is a family targeted movie so there will be some really wacky stuff. It's to be expected what these type of movies though.

My Review of "War for the Planet of the Apes"
War for the Planet of the Apes came out in 2017 and boy does it look and sound fantastic compared to the previous movies. I really wasn't expecting this movie to come out because the second movie kind of ended things right. The second movie was far more focused whereas this one crams a lot of stuff into one big movie.

My Review of "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes"
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes came out back in 2014, a mere 3 years after the first movie. I loved that first movie but when I first saw this movie it blew my mind. You technically don't have to watch the first movie to get through this one but you have more of a vested interest in its main character if you did.

My Review of "Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story"
Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story was recently released on streaming. It's a 4 part mini documentary series that I found on Disney Plus. I generally don't follow Formula 1 racing but this one had me intrigued because of the underdog storyline. It probably helped that I didn't know anything about anything to tell you if you can get into this blind.

My Review of "Loki: Season 2"
Loki: Season 2 was released in 2023 and everyone is raving over it. I admit that I liked the first season, however I'm not totally a fan of this season. Granted if you really loved season one you will love this second season. It goes deeper into the multiverse storyline that the first season started up. I'm unfortunately not clever enough to keep up with all the craziness from one episode to the next.

My Review of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes"
Rise of the Planet of the Apes came out back in 2011. It was a bit of a shocker when this movie first came out. No one thought that the franchise had legs to keep going. The Tim Burton remake of the movie in 2001 that bombed pretty bad in the box office. I never saw the original movies. I didn't know what to make of this reboot.

My Review of "They Cloned Tyrone"
They Cloned Tyrone is a Netflix exclusive movie that came out in 2023. It's a pretty slick film that has a lot of style and personality. Though a lot of its plot actually remind me of a 2002 comedy called Undercover Brother. I only recognize this because I loved Undercover Brother. This is done in a more serious tone but the themes are there.

My Review of "65"
65 quietly came out in theatres in 2023. I don't think too many people knew about it because there wasn't a lot of publicity for it. I knew of it but didn't bother to watch it until I got the 4k Blu-ray copy of it. I figured why not enjoy it at the comfort of my own home. Besides I wanted to test out my system.

My Review of "Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - PS5"
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - PS5 has been out for probably a month now and I finally finished it. Yes, I know, how could it take you this long to finish it? Well, I'll get to that. What's most important is that it was a great experience and for all the reasons that you think. If you've played the previous games you'll know exactly what I mean by that.
