My Review of "Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget"
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget is a movie I never thought would ever come out. I was a fan of the first Chicken Run when it first came out in the year 2000. Who knew they'd come out with a sequel 23 years later. It was a good movie but even back then it wasn't that popular. That's why I was really curious as to how something like this could have come out so late in the game.

My Review of "Past Lives"
Past Lives is a drama that came out in 2023. It's generally not a movie that I normally gravitate to but for some reason I was drawn to it. Yes, it's a movie about romance but there's a lot more to it than that. Some of the situations could be viewed as metaphors for something else missing in their lives.

My Review of "Game of Thrones: Season 6"
Game of Thrones: Season 6 came out back in 2016. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen after that great 5th season. It was such a game changing season because so much happened in that season. This season has a lot happening to it but it's starting to rush itself too. The series seems to be on a bit of a slide but not totally. I see some problems starting to arise but it's still pretty darn good.

My Review of "Good Will Hunting"
Good Will Hunting is a drama that came out back in 1997. All of the settings, vernacular and social expectations are of its time but the messages still hold true today. I remember liking this movie back when it first came out but watching it today I have a better appreciation for it. Now I can see why people consider this their favorite movie and go back to it so often.

My Review of "Bitconned"
Bitconned is a recently released Netflix exclusive documentary. It brings us the story of a con man named Ray Trapani and how he lied and cheated his way to success. I know a lot of people can become very frustrated with this documentary but it's also a real dose of reality. The beauty of it is that it's all real and it's all narrated to us from the criminal himself.

My Review of "NASCAR: Full Speed"
NASCAR: Full Speed is the latest sports documentary series streaming exclusively on Netflix. It's about the NASCAR racing and what had happened in their 2023 season. That means it was a pretty fast turn around time for this to be airing now. I don't have too much knowledge about NASCAR so I was walking into this blindfolded. What I got was a pretty entertaining show where I admittedly got confused a few times.

My Review of "Waterworld"
Waterworld is one of the most controversial movies of 1995. At the time it was one of the biggest blockbuster movies that bombed in the movie theatres. Before memes were a thing this movie was made fun of in various ways. I remember seeing this movie back in the day not thinking it was absolutely terrible. Now, almost 30 years later I thought I'd give it another shot. Was this movie unfairly panned?

My Review of "Hot Rod"
Hot Rod is a crazy, looney comedy that came out in 2007. It's not a highly regarded movie but it's one of my top comedies that I go back to. This is not a movie that many will like and it shows because it's not a popular movie. You have to be able to see outside of logic and reason. It also helps if you understand 1980s stereotypes and interested in zany random things happening as well.

My Review of "Nimona"
Nimona is an animated feature streaming exclusively on Netflix. I'm not a huge fan of Netflix animated features. Once in a while they do a pretty good job but for the most part I don't get through these moves. I forced myself to go through this one. It's a quirky little tale that has its twists and turns closer to the end but has a bit of a rough start.

My Review of "Tropic Thunder"
Tropic Thunder is one of the last great Ben Stiller comedies that I continue to rewatch. It came out back in 2008 and I guess this is the last time they were able to use such offensive material for a comedic movie. Due to the social climate we have today this movie is considered very controversial because of the very risqué topics touched upon.

My Review of "Field of Dreams"
Field of Dreams is a somewhat spiritual film that came out in 1989. It's a really movie that has a lot to say. The method in which they tell the story is also quite unconventional as well. Some would argue that they don't make movies based on imagination anymore and that would explain why this is such an oddity.

My Review of "Chosen One: Alexandre Daigle"
Chosen One: Alexandre Daigle has recently released exclusively on Amazon Prime. It is a deep dive into the mind of Alexandre Daigle. Many of you probably don't know who he is but many hockey fans of the 90s sure remember this guy. I was one of them and remember some of the events quite well.
