I Got to Drive an Audi R8 Spyder!
How could this even happen? I for one didn't think it was possible! The first car I ever owned was a '99 Mazda protégé. It was fun and zippy and I think it just had over 100 hp. I now own a 2010 KIA Forte Koup. Although my relatively newer car is a little faster than my previous car, it only has about 150 hp. The 2018 Audi R8 Spyder has a whopping 600hp! I knew I was in for a hell of an experience!

'Happytime Murders'
Happytime Murders is a comedy about a string of murders based in Los Angeles where both puppets and humans coexist. There's a serial killer murdering puppets from an old TV show and it's up to a pair of detectives, one puppet and one human, to figure out the mystery. Fortunately for us this pair have a turbulent past and it gets revealed throughout the movie. A lot of the fun comes from the revealing of the past relationships of the characters.

We Need Pioneers and Less Settlers
There's a lot of talks about race and representation in the media today. I think the media is making it a bigger deal than it should be. Some of the interviews I've read recently had me questioning the motives of the article. Do we need to see a representation of ourselves to know what we want to do in life? I don't think so. If there's something that we truly want to do we should find ways of doing it. I know it's impossible for everyone to think alike but the media makes it sound like there's a general consensus that we need others to pave a path for us. Why do we even need to follow paths? With everything changing today will this even be talked about in the future?

Our Duty to the Environment
I hear a lot of people telling us that we have to protect the environment. We hear sayings like, "It's our duty since it's our home," and, "Our children will suffer the consequences of the actions we make today." I agree that humans are the central cause of pollution in the world but we have almost eight billion people on this earth and this number is still growing. One of the obstacles we have to overcome is that we all have the same goal in life. We want to survive in the most comfortable way we can. How do we live comfortably and not hurt the environment? Almost all of the things that allow us to live comfortably hurt the environment. We understand that the environment is a concern and we're constantly trying to find a remedy for this problem. One option is to consume less and reuse as much as we can to reduce our carbon footprint. With our world population continuing to grow how effective is this option? One of the more drastic measures currently being explored is colonization of foreign planets such as Mars. I wonder if it's even something that is possible? If that doesn't work, there is a simple solution that I'm sure will be the most unpopular of the three and that would be to let nature run its course. Stop prolonging human life and let diseases and human evolution do their thing. What if it wipes all of us out? There are a lot of unknowns with this one but you can see why this is the least popular idea.

Guns Aren't Only an American Problem
We hear about the horrific shootings in the United States and grieve with our southern neighbours. Canadians generally think these situations are isolated in the US and don't believe it can happen in Canada. It actually happens in Canada more often than we believe, and we have stricter gun laws than America. How can this happen in Canada? I'm not so sure and I have no idea how to remedy the problem but I do know that it is becoming more prevalent.

Surrounding Yourself with Positivity Isn't as Great as It Sounds
Surround yourself with positivity. I hear this all the time but is this really something we should be practicing? True, this could be meant for not only ideas but people as well but that can still be a slippery slope toward ignorance. I think that everyone should have a nice balance of positive and negative thoughts and social interactions. We can't go living our lives ignorant of all negativity. How would problems be solved? How would we progress as a society?

Traveling: The New Materialism?
This is a bit of a controversial topic that I wanted to write about for a while but never got around to it. I have had countless debates with my friends about it and never came to an agreement. Yes, buying tangible things and buying travel experiences are fundamentally different. However, I don't think they're so far apart. As I've grown up and started earning an income, luxuries started to become viable. New cars, houses, and vacations started to become attainable to me. I've had my fair share of material purchases and vacation experiences. For me, I would have to say that I don't think I gained more satisfaction from one over the other. I believe it all comes down to perception and personal preferences.

Casual Training Into My 40s
I've never been the most athletic person. I mostly played video games and watched TV during my childhood. During high school I was a chubby teenager. In my early 20s I finally discovered bboying (breakdancing). That was what got me to train my body to become stronger. It wasn't until I got into my 30s that I started to train smarter. Of course, I hit obstacles throughout the different stages in my life and as my body evolved.

Lazy Travels? Why Go in the First Place?
One of the big things we have to ask ourselves is what is the purpose of the vacation we're going on? There's no right or wrong answer to that but I find it's sometimes hard to define other than to see and experience new things. Although there are times when it's just nice to relax and get away from everything. I found that I was being lazy when it came to traveling to other countries. These countries often know that tourists are coming, so they make it easy to be lazy.

'Street Fighter V' Review
I have to admit I was a late adopter of this game. Even though I loved Street Fighter 4 and have followed the Street Fighter series forever there was something I didn't like about Street Fighter V. Initially, it felt slower and I had to relearn all the rules. My friends would destroy me at it when the Vanilla Street Fighter V first came out. I didn't have a PS4 at the time and I vowed to wait until the system and the game became cheaper.

Poverty Becomes Cyclical in Canada
The old saying is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I reflected on this in my everyday life and realized the privilege that people experience when they have money. The options are greater and there's room for making mistakes.

Becoming a Casual Gamer
I've played video games most of my life and looking back I definitely went through some stages. My earliest memory of gaming was when I was maybe five or six years old. My older brother bought an Atari. I think I was more fascinated with it because I idolized my brother and he was making the tv do things on command. I didn't understand the games he played so it was lost on me.
