If you’ve read any of my articles before, then you know I am a firm believer in the power of fasting. Fasting is one of the most effective ways to cleanse your body, reset your metabolism and reduce stress. It also has numerous health benefits including weight loss and improved blood glucose levels. Intermittent fasting is when you eat only sporadically and completely abstain from eating food for extended periods of time. The classic example is if we were to fast for 16 hours, then eat again. There are different ways to do intermittent fasting, but they all have the same goal- to help us lose weight by eating less frequently than what might be considered ‘normal’.
