You're not stupid, but we are stupidly confident
In a famous line from Theatetus, Socrates compares his philosophical activity to midwifery (v, he maieutikê technê). Socrates, according to Maieutics, first facilitates and then criticises other people's ideas. In other words, Socrates felt that individuals were convinced of their own views, even if they were false, and that they could not recognise (as he did) that they simply "didn't know" things. As a result, he would probe them more and more until they began to doubt their earlier ideas or came to a different conclusion. This was not a quest for the ultimate truth, but rather to raise awareness of the reality that we know far less than we believe.

Is the Art Market a Scam?
In 2005, a Salvator Mundi believed a replica was auctioned off from the property of Baton Rouge industrialist Basil Clovis Hendry Sr. at the St. Charles Gallery auction house in New Orleans. It had been highly overpainted to the degree of looking like a replica, and was characterised as “a wreck, dark and depressing” before restoration. The picture was purchased for $1,175 by a group of art dealers. The team thought there was a chance that this low-quality piece may be Leonardo’s long-lost original.

Writer's Block? Neuroscience may have a solution (or two) for you!
Arguably, the problem with writer's block is creativity. Not the fact that we may at times lack creativity, but that we wait for inspiration when it comes to creative projects. See, if you need to write an email for work, or finish a paper for Uni or high school, or even write a sad text to your ex, you don't get the block. You just do. You write.

Let's Talk About The Porn Industry, Baby
Wallace - to get an idea of what inspired me to write about porn- recounts the story of when he was invited and attended (or had to correspond from; unsure) a porn convention. This may sound like freaky stuff, and maybe it was, but that wasn't the point, not for "our correspondent".

Let Kids Play Videogames!. Top Story - May 2022.
Previously, being creative was associated with either crazy (the mad scientist), money, or insane brilliance. But this doesn't appear to be the case any longer, does it? It's also not a particularly democratic approach to process and invention.

Easy Steps To Have Better Discussions
Let’s consider a narrative. Let’s imagine a world where humans were made a bit stupid by their political views. A world where being engaged in political thinking could make people worse at math, or at general critical thinking. Imagine that random people were asked questions such as if a scientist was an expert in science (or not), and right-wing people would systematically consider them an expert only if they thought of climate change as a fad, while left-winged people considered the same scientist an expert only if they really supported the idea of man-made climate change.

Let's Talk About Nudity: Art or Vulgarity?
Born we are, naked. With time though — now in a historical “human” context — we started covering ourselves for warmth, for status, for everyday life. This state of always being dressed rendered the naked body the most vulnerable and “essential” state for us, but much like clothing, the naked body imprisons and reveals meanings. Especially in the arts.

Artista Barista? Why coffee art is worth their while
What even is a basic latte? How can something so intrinsically perfect be ever basic? And is basic even a bad word? These questions that might be worth answering, but not the ones we’ll be discussing today.

Gamification is the future of creativity, innovation, and education
You are 10 years old. You are out with your great-grandma and are super excited because your 4-year-old brother is there too, and maybe, just maybe, you’re going to get ice cream. But, all of a sudden, ice cream is out of the picture, as the car goes errant: your grandma has had a heart attack and has lost control of the vehicle.
