Redeeming Birth
The honour of birthing both of my girls is unparalleled. In my books, the experience of child birth is utterly unmatched. With sweet Emme’s very first birthday drawing closer by the day, my thoughts are naturally replete with reminiscent memories of her bold and beautiful birth. From conception through 9 months of pregnancy to her day of birth, this beautiful cascade of events happened that put God’s loving nature and redemptive character on display. I am forever humbled and grateful for Him and how He holds me in His hands. I can’t wait to share how special this journey has been with you.

A Moment with God
Knock Knock My night nurse had come on shift earlier in the evening around 7:30pm. She was a bigger lady who had tightly curled hair settled on the top of her head, bright pink lipstick and what appeared to be clogs on her feet. Her thick European accent was hard to understand but her no-nonsense tone was very clear. Her real name was something very European, but we nicknamed her Helga. Helga was adamant that I get up to use the restroom. I told her I would let her know when I was ready.

A Moment with God
Russian Roulette On the morning of the third day of my ICU stay, they told me that Dr. Mel would come at some point and they would deflate the balloon. I had a million questions. How do they do that? Would they know right away if I was hemorrhaging? If I was hemorrhaging would it like gush out or be a slow steady flow? Would I feel them deflating it? What would they do if I did hemorrhage? Would it be painful? Were we close to the OR? Would we go there if I did hemorrhage? Would I need another transfusion? Could we deflate it like… slowly?! The nurses in the ICU assured me that all of my questions would be answered when Dr. Mel arrived to deflate the balloon.

3D Geometry
When I came across these 3D shape books at our local library, of course I grabbed every last one of them! I left not a single one for anyone else to enjoy for the nexts 2 weeks (our standard loan time) plus the 5 renewals I will likely hoard them for. LOL.

Spatial Skills are Crucial for Success in Math
Spatial reasoning... Spatial skills... Spatial thinking... Spatial analysis... Spatial awareness... All of it is essentially the understanding of the location and dimension of objects. It is also how objects/items are connected or related to each other.

What's in a Name?
What’s in a name? Well, for our girls there is quite a lot of meaning and intent behind their names. They were chosen with incredible love in our hearts, honour for our loved ones and a reverence for God who has blessed us with these two beautiful babes!

The Legend of the Three Trees
With Easter around the corner, I wanted to share this sweet story I recently happened upon! If you haven't read this tale before, you're not alone because I hadn't heard of it myself. I had done a search online for Christian Easter Books and someone else had recommended it on their blog of books, much like I’m doing now!
