Alison and I left the outfitters draped in our new, sparkling linens and followed Astaria down the torch-lit hallway. “Your father asked that you meet him, and the rest of the Royal Court, in the Throne room,” Astaria said, as we approached an enormous set of double doors. They appeared to be made of white marble and trimmed in gold roses with emerald leaves.
