House With a Crossed Earth Floor / Fukei Co.
This is the story of a house I designed, located on a hill in Miyagi, Japan. My approach was to create a plan that crisscrosses the site, allowing the house to form a close, intimate connection with the garden surrounding it. The garden itself is divided into four distinct sections, each serving a unique purpose. There's a bright, spacious area where children can run freely, a quiet garden that can be viewed from the bathroom and bedrooms, a decorative garden that enhances the façade, and a parking space.
