Body Parts
I have a friend named Winston, who has lost many body parts due to his diabetes. They call him the miracle man, though he prefers to be called your royal highness. Winston and I joke that heaven is taking us piece by piece because we refuse to give up on life.

Uniforms
People in general wear many hats invisible to the naked eye. Woman: wife, mother, daughter, niece, aunt, friend, and so forth. None of those hats have a specific uniform but the professions, hobbies, and passions which one establishes who they are, often do wear uniforms.

Saving Lace
My head screamed, “What?” as I looked at the photos text to me. Theresa had sent me a photo of the lace curtains she once tried to sell. She had taken down the plaid curtains in her living room and staged her window with the lace ones for the photo. The delicate lace looked romantic as the sunlight behind the pane illuminated a soft glow to the photo. I replied, “Looks great.” I was impressed with the time she was taking to stage the curtains for the photo but I also knew how much those curtains had meant to her.

Another Delivery Day
“Brrring, Brrring” Annabelle dropped the knife in her hand and grabbed the phone, “Thank you for calling Agawam Flower Shop, how can I help you today?” I was thankful to have the extra hands to assist me at the shop, especially to answer the phone as mine were quickly placing the flowers Annabelle had cut into water tubes so the cross that Mr. Capuano ordered could be made.
