The Story of Mundaun: A Game Review
Spoken in Romansh in the Swiss Alps, Mundaun is both horrifying and delightful when it’s all said and done. You start off the game with a blazing fire, setting your grandfather’s home ablaze. From there, things only get worse and much more weird and/or creepy. With a day/night cycle, the hand-drawn game really comes to life as enemies do as well from haybales.

A Creepy Fish and the Ocean - Loan Shark Review
I love indie titles, especially when there are creepy fish on the cover. Let’s get into Loan Shark on Steam. You start off as a fisherman in massive debt to a loan shark. When I say massive, they give you the number as 999,999 euros. I’m not the smartest nor the wisest of the bunch, but I do know that that number cannot be paid down quickly in a manner of hours by fishing.

My case for The Sims 3 against The Sims 4
I went back to The Sims 3 recently after Steam put all of the expansion packs on sale for $190 total. Being a 50% off deal, I grabbed and was transformed back to days of being lost in the world of my creation and losing time and not caring in the world how many house have passed. Turns out, two hours had passed as I was simply testing out the game on my laptop. Testing, running, creating a sim, creating their spouse, creating their child, and moving them into their first home to be exact. After three years playing The Sims 4 back in 2014, it was so refreshing to have a game that I enjoyed in my hands again.

8-hours I am not proud of.
So, I’m not exactly proud of this review, and I’ll tell you why. But first, some background: I am an ENGLISH major, specifically, English Literature. Y’know, Shakespeare, Melville, and the story of Walden - the dude that wrote about his time in nature when in reality his mother was doing his laundry? I have absolutely no training nor education in politics, nor political science. Someone once suggested I do debate club in high school and I ran in the opposite direction. All that to say, I love reading and writing, even if I’m not good at either one.

Update 9/5/25. Content Warning.
Hello everyone. I know it's been awhile since my last video game article. Life...has not been kind to some people. People that matter to me. People that deserve to not be shoved aside. Honestly, I haven't been able to write like I would like to. I keep close to my Nintendo Switch and my laptop like my life depends on it. I keep notes as I play through games. Sometimes, I write as I am playing the game itself. Dictation is a great tool when your hands are busy. I remember using Dragon, a dictation tool that was really expensive, but I used it to speak my thoughts and write many college papers. Now, Microsoft Word has a dictation tool built-in, so that makes it easy for travel and playing games on the go.

Blasfemia Game Review
So…I don’t know how many of these indie horror games can start off and entirely occur in a locked house where the main character cannot just kick down the front door, but this is one of those games. I also don’t know how an evil nun can get annoying, but they can. Turning off light switches, appearing behind me, it makes for an interesting experience to a horror game to say the least.

The Thing Retrospective Game Review
So recently, I went on a kick of John Carpenter movies, y’know, like The Thing and the 2011 prequel of The Thing. As I was watching the movies, a friend informed me that he had played the video game a few years ago. To my surprise, and excitement, I decided to play the game myself.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Review
So, in preparation for Call of Duty Black Ops 7, I went back to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6. To give a disclaimer, it’s best for newcomers to play all of the Black Ops games before diving into the recent releases; except for Black Ops 3, I have yet to find a connection made between that game and the others besides a mention of Raul Menendez from Black Ops 2.

"Grandma" by Uneasy Game Studios Review
“Grandma” first came on my radar in late 2017 on itch.io (a great resource for indie games), when word spread of a jumpscare-heavy game. I usually assume rumors are exaggerated, but I was not expecting the loud sounds and sudden noises from this game. But, they were not a bad thing in this case. It is definitely recommended headphones are used in case you have sleeping children or roommates.
