Shower Slurg
I have never liked presents, which is weird for a lot of people. They always ask why. Why say no to free stuff? But if you want to give someone something, Like you truly wanted to give them something. Just give it to them. Don’t wait for a birthday, Christmas, or New Year. Whenever really. Life is too short to worry about presents.

The Valley of Fire
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. I would know. I grew up there. Before they came, the valley was filled with fairies dancing on the petals of morning glories that held the shades of sunset. A creek twisted through the valley, vibrant blue water filled with colorful stones and fish that would fly through the air. Stags would graze in the tall emerald grasses. Rabbits would chase the colorful butterflies that would hatch in spring. The entire valley was lined with tall pine trees that kissed the clouds. Their roots broke from the ground giving way to intricate patterns on the forest floor. And in the morning mist would emerge from the forest and fill the valley. I still remember it twirling around my fingers. It would dance with me and then leave when the sun broke beyond the mountains. The valley was full of wondrous life and unfathomable magic.

Bleeding Red
As I was being dragged onto the plastic cover everything faded and I awoke to a dark eerie sky. I was unaware of where I was or who I became. All I knew was that I was surrounded by damp brick that stretched up to the starless night sky. I was laying on the ground as if I had fallen from the heavens. My body twisted and turned while pain blossomed in every joint. I turned my head and looked towards the light and saw that I was in an alley and I didn’t live in this city. And this city was unlike any I have ever heard.
