The Best Character From Watchmen (2009)
If I was given the opportunity to rent out a theater and play one movie, I would choose ‘Watchmen’. I have always been a comic book fan and this movie is probably my favorite of them all. March of 2009, the movie based on the comic by the same name, grossed more than $185 million.

The Friendship of Two Writers
Want to know a bit of uncommon knowledge about two of the world's most praised writers? Ernest Hemingway was an American writer born in 1899. He is wildly successful and produced books the many booklovers treasure to this day. Some of the favorites being ‘The Old Man and the Sea’, ‘For Whom the Bell Tolls’, and ‘ The Sun Also Rises’. He went on to win a Nobel Prize and a Pulitzer Prize for his writing. Not to mention a bronze star medal for his time in the war. Hemingway was also known for being a raging alcoholic. It is rumored that he once drank sixteen daiquiris in one night, which is awful for your liver but a bit impressive. Although he is mostly famous for his many books I know him from one simple quote.

American Horror Story is in its 9th season now and is still drawing a lot of attention. The show first aired on FX, in 2011 with ‘Murder House,’ and has since brought us many captivating seasons. 'AHS' is known for being an anthology series, often casting the same actors and actresses to play different roles each season.

The Coolest Person To Ever Build A Wall
Now this is something I wish they taught in school. Did you know that Julius Caesar was actually a savage, and I use that word as in ‘cool’ not violent. He was a bloodthirsty murderer, but let's but that aside for the sake of me telling you this story. Now, I'm assuming you know who he is. He is the ‘Beware the ides of March’ guy. The stabbed 23 times by his closest ‘friends' guy. Was having a sexual relationship with Cleopatra guy. You know, Julius Caesar; Roman dictator.

When I was in my senior year all the girls in my homeroom decided to get tattoos. It became a trend that after they turned eighteen, they would come in the next day with their zodiac permanently inked into their bodies. At the time, I didn't even know what my zodiac was, but seeing as they all found it cool enough to 'vandalize' their bodies with it I decided to do some research.

'Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace'
Let me take a moment to set the scene. Picture this; the year is 2010, I am driving in my car listening to Taylor Swift’s newest album. Speak now, the song for which the album was named, plays at full volume while I speed down the road. The song tells the story of the narrator sneaking into her ex-boyfriend's wedding. Clearly, she is remorseful for ending the relationship and jealous of the bride-to-be. She stays hidden in the shadows, criticizing the other woman, and waits for the perfect moment to confess her love for the groom.

Tips to Winning A Vocal Challenge
Vocal has been doing writing challenges for a little while now and they are proving to be a cool and fun way of inspiring writers. Also, the cash prizes are pretty nice as well. It seems that every few days Vocal is coming out with a new challenge idea and partnering with other companies to boost engagement. Really it is an ingenious business strategy for Vocal and I for one and a fan.
