I felt so exhausted, after a long battle. I had never been so scared in a battle in my life. And I wasn’t scared for my life. I couldn’t care about my life, when the girl I loved with everything I had, life was in danger. I was so scared. Because I had been with her at the beginning of the battle, because we had been training when it all started.

Two I had been watching her for hours, when I started nodding off myself. But before I did, I started hearing her whimper. I think she was having a nightmare about the battle. I wanted to comfort her and tell her that it was ok. But I couldn’t. So, I kept watch. Hearing her whimper, had woken me up. I was alert and ready to jump off this chair and go to her. To protect her, if I needed to.

Nessa & Nazar
I had just finished an interview and was about to have another. The first interview, was a lady in her forties. But I wasn't so sure about her. She looked stern. And I don't think I wanted that for Lilia. I wanted someone that was going to be soft and loving. I could at least give that to my daughter, after she had lost her mother. Plus, I hadn't been very nice lately.
