How to Be Confident
I'm constantly learning. One of the biggest lessons I've had to learn and am still learning about is confidence. It's hard to be confident, right?! Sometimes I find that I really struggle with this, and my biggest insecurity is other people disapproving of what I do. I'm especially sensitive to this, and I've always been worried about being perfect and meeting expectations.

The Death of My Former Self
I am a survivor, and I'm proud to say that. I started to think about death and suicide when I was in high school. I wondered what it would be like to die—if it would be easier than living. I wasn't old enough to know what I wanted out of life or what life could offer me, but there was enough wrong that I considered ending it all for the unknown. I stood in front of the medicine cabinet when I was 17 and looked at all the bottles of pills, and that's the first time I seriously considered hurting myself.

Depression Is Not Your Friend
We all get sad and lonely. We all feel like the world is closing in on us. I understand. I've been struggling with depression for years, and it's something that's very hard to get through. Sometimes when you're depressed, you feel like you're the only one in the world and you're fighting all of this alone. You can feel like no one loves you or cares for you, so you pull yourself away from the people in your life.

Help! I Don’t Think I’m an Adult
Are you required to have a job to be a grown up? When you think of an adult, what do you see? I see someone with a briefcase. I don't know why that's the first image that pops into my head, but society has conditioned us to connect things together, and that's what I connect. It's no secret that society has expectations for what people need to be. A briefcase is linked to a career, which you need to have if you're an adult. I guess I expect someone that is an adult to have a house, a job, a family, and have it all figured out. What if your life isn't stereotypical?

How I Was Sexually Assaulted by My Boyfriend
I want to write about being sexually assaulted, but it didn't happen the way you'd imagine. He used to get me so high that I was paralyzed, and then he would do things to me that felt good. It felt good in my body, but was it really what I wanted mentally? In my head, I would wish for it to stop, but it looked like a different story because my body was reacting in a way that I couldn't control. He would give me orgasm after orgasm, resulting in me becoming so mentally, physically, and emotionally drained. I was also completely unable to say no in that situation. How is it sexual assault if it felt good? How is it sexual assault if it's your boyfriend?
