Young and in Love

A Poem

I love the words that escape your mouth

when you're making love to me.

Your tongue must have been dipped in honey,

as everything that leaves it sounds sweet.

You've got eyes that I could float in,

that would surround me with the calm that I need.

I want to weather your storms

and take your burdens.

There's enough room in my heart for both of us.

I needed to learn how to love again,

and you taught me that love is

the easiest thing in the world

when it's right.
