Positive Thinking or Self-Deception?
Part One: Because it feels comforting, we feed ourselves with falsehoods to escape mental turmoil. In essence, we engage in self-suggestion, convincing ourselves of lies. (The neurological structure of some individuals is predisposed to suggestibility, readily accepting others’ words without critique. This is an aspect that can be strengthened by developing the frontal lobe, as previously discussed!)
