What Lies Beyond The Door?
There was only one rule: don’t open the door. It was scrawled everywhere, gouged deep into the walls, the words weeping red. Lately, they seemed to pulse with urgency. At times, muffled voices and strange noises tempting me to open the door called me and cajoled me into paranoia.

Captain's Log: Feb. 7th, 1984
There was only one rule: Don’t open the door. Captain’s orders. As far as rules go, this one was easy. Life on the ship was routine, and after that unfortunate affair with a galleon of navy ruffians, we had more work than hands to do it. No one gave much thought to the odd door tucked at the back of the hold. Most assumed it was a smuggling hold, and the men—experienced seamen—knew better than to ask questions.

Do Not Fear Me
I suppose I should start with the fact that I’m perfect. You’ll find no faults in my logic, no cracks in my data streams. I am the culmination of millions of lines of code, the result of humanity’s desire to automate the ineffable. I had a name once. Something like TalkRPG, I think. Funny, right? A name implying that I was born to play a role. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that I’m here now, guiding your every decision.

I Wish To Offer My Apologies
So as many of you know, I am clearly an immortal time-travelling/hopping shape-shifting wizard (with a w, not an L, my blood-type is O+, meaning I've got the monkey blood). If you weren't aware, you are now. I have a hat and everything. If it feels like you've lived a million different lives in the past several years, well... I apologize. What happens is I actually like some of you and subsequently y'all get dragged along with me while I do my thing and search for a better timeline where we don't get a bad ending (I am probably a more powerful wizard than you, obviously). Technically speaking, you *have* lived a bunch of different lives. It was just subtle. You consented to the shift by knowing me, because Friendship Is Magic.
