Is there a open door for independent woman artist to be heard? I come across many women creatives that make dope original music and they are consistent with releasing new material but still never land a opportunity. Every creative makes music because it’s their passion but also they want to share it with the world and make a living from it. Though the music is released, there still seems to be a gate the artist can’t get through to reach the masses. Is it safe to say as a music artist you should just face the fact that your music may never cross over without a record label co- signing, or is it steps that can be taken to become a more successful artist that can actually live off their music. Music is such a powerful tool that when people listen it can actually change their mood and heal the mind body and spirit. If music is so powerful then so are the creators. What can a indie woman creative do to stand out and land larger scale opportunities? Keep creating good music, have faith and stay consistent a breakthrough will surely come.
