In today's world, wealth is often seen as the ultimate symbol of success. However, assuming you already have enough wealth at the age of 25 to live a carefree life, would you choose to 'lie flat'?
The term 'lying flat' refers to an attitude of giving up intense competition and choosing a low desire life. Does having abundant wealth mean you should stop pursuing it? Many people may think that with enough wealth, their life goals have been achieved, but is this actually the case?
Shakespeare once wrote in Macbeth, "Wealth is like a mirror, reflecting the greed and fragility of human nature." Indeed, wealth can bring us comfort and freedom, but is it enough to fill the emptiness of the soul?
After acquiring wealth, you can stay away from the hustle and bustle of the world and pursue inner peace. Poetry, music, and art can all become the destination of the soul. You can choose to invest your time in what you truly love without being troubled by worldly pressures. Byron once pondered by the lake, experiencing the beauty of nature, and this freedom was priceless.
Wealth and life are not opposed, but can be integrated with each other. Finding a balance point in life, enjoying the freedom brought by wealth without losing the purpose and motivation of life, is a question that everyone needs to consider.
