Why Allah Created the World. A Story for the People of the USA.

A message to the people of the United States. America is a land of dreams, innovation, and freedom. But real freedom is the freedom to know your Creator. Allah gave you life not by accident, but with purpose. Every mountain, every sunset, every newborn child all are signs pointing toward Him.

In the beginning, there was nothing but Allah the Eternal, the Creator, the One without beginning or end. He was alone, yet complete. He needed no help, no partner, and no rest. From His divine wisdom and mercy, He created the universe not out of boredom or need, but as a sign for us, the human beings, to know Him, love Him, and worship Him.

To the people of the United States in your fast-paced world filled with technology, skyscrapers, and limitless opportunity have you ever stopped to ask: Why are we here? Not just in America, not just in this life but why do we even exist? This is a question that transcends religion, borders, and politics. It is the question of purpose.

According to Islam, Allah created the world to test humanity to give us the chance to choose between good and evil, kindness and cruelty, belief and denial. The Qur'an says: “He who created death and life to test you as to which of you is best in deed” (Qur’an 67:2). The world is a stage for our actions, a place of temporary life before eternal destiny.

How was the world created?

The Qur’an tells us that Allah created the heavens and the earth in six stages (not necessarily six days as understood in modern calendars). First, He created the heavens and spread out the earth. Then He made the mountains, rivers, oceans, and sky. The stars and sun followed, each placed perfectly in the universe. Unlike some beliefs where God rests after creation, in Islam, Allah never tires or needs rest: “Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep” (Qur’an 2:255).

Then came the most honored creation the human being. Allah created Adam (peace be upon him) from clay, and breathed into him His spirit. From Adam, He created Eve. Allah gave them knowledge, purpose, and the freedom to choose. This is where our journey began not in a lab, not in chaos, but in divine intention.

When was the world created?

Islam does not provide a specific date or number of years ago. What matters is not the "when" but the "why." The world was created when Allah willed it, beyond the limits of human calendars. In an age where Americans often seek answers in science, Islam encourages science too — but reminds us that science tells how things happen, while only revelation tells us why they happen.

Today in the USA, many people feel empty despite success. Depression, anxiety, and loneliness haunt even the most powerful and rich. Why? Because material things can’t fill a spiritual gap. The heart was made for Allah — and it finds peace only in remembrance of Him. That is why He created us. That is why He created the world.

A message to the people of the United States

America is a land of dreams, innovation, and freedom. But real freedom is the freedom to know your Creator. Allah gave you life not by accident, but with purpose. Every mountain, every sunset, every newborn child all are signs pointing toward Him. You were not made to chase wealth alone, or to live 80 years and disappear. You were made to know Allah, to live justly, and to prepare for the eternal life that comes after.

Allah says in the Qur’an: “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me” (Qur’an 51:56). Worship in Islam doesn’t only mean praying — it means living with purpose, kindness, and truth.

So, to every American reading this — whether you are in New York, Texas, California, or anywhere else — this message is for you. The world you live in was created by Allah. He made it for a reason. He made you for a reason. And the journey back to Him begins with a single step: asking, Why am I here?

Let that question lead you to the answer that has brought peace to billions. Let it open your heart to the One who created all things — with love, wisdom, and mercy.
