What if there were 100 billion human beings on Earth?
Imagine a world where the human population increased more than tenfold, reaching 100 billion people. What would become of our daily lives? What would happen if we had to share the Earth with so many people? This talk explores the fascinating, surprising and sometimes amusing consequences of such a scenario

Currently, the Earth is home to approximately 8 billion human beings. But what would happen if that number reached 100 billion?

To put that into perspective, it's like every person on Earth today has to manage a family of 12.5 additional members. In other words, there would be no room to play football in the yard, because it would be full of neighbors!

1-Food
With 100 billion mouths to feed, we should reinvent the way we produce food. Vertical farms, underwater crops

and even 3D printed food would become commonplace. Imagine ordering a steak and seeing it printed in front of you in minutes!

2-Water and Energy.

The need for drinking water and energy would explode. We should probably drink recycled water and use solar panels on every roof. Wind turbines would become decorative elements in every garden.
And if we lack electricity, we could perhaps pedal to produce our own energy, transforming each living room into a mini gym!

3-Environment.
Our ecological footprint would be gigantic. Natural parks would become distant memories, replaced by forests of buildings. To counter pollution, each person could have a small personal green plant, making urban gardening fashion obligatory.

To house everyone, we should build megacities stretching to the horizon. Skyscrapers would be so tall they would touch the clouds. Underwater dwellings or even space colonies on Mars would become a reality. Don't forget your wetsuits and personal rockets!
Roads would be multi-level mazes, and flying cars could become our primary means of transportation. Schools would be accessible via space elevators and hospitals would have specialized wings for every disease imaginable.

4-Social and Cultural Effects*and Social Dynamics
With so many people, social interactions would change dramatically. Block parties would become city festivals, and walking down the street would be like navigating an ocean of faces. The concepts of family and friends would be redefined, as it would be impossible to know everyone.

Cultural diversity would explode with new traditions, languages and cuisines on every corner. Imagine celebrating 100 different festivals every year, from every culture possible. Fusion restaurants would be the norm, offering dishes like sushi-tacos or pizza-samosas.
5-Technology and Innovation and Possible Innovations
Technology would play a crucial role in supporting such a population. Robots assisting every family, smart homes meeting all your needs and hyper-efficient public transport would become essential. Today's science fiction would be our daily reality.

Innovations would rise to the challenge: floating cities on the oceans, vertical farms reaching into the sky and infinite renewable energy sources. We could even see teleportation devices to avoid giant traffic jams.
In summary, a world populated by 100 billion people would be a mix of colossal challenges and incredible innovations. This would raise important questions about our way of living, consuming and coexisting. But with a little creativity, technology and humor, we could imagine a future where humanity thrives, even on an unimaginable scale

Now I'm ready to answer your questions and discuss your ideas about this incredible hypothetical world. How do you think we could adapt to such overpopulation? What innovations do you find most fascinating?
