How the Leaderboard Works

Each weekly leaderboard is based on engagement metrics collected between 12:00 a.m. Wednesday and 11:59 p.m. Tuesday (ET). The Vocal Team monitors top-level comments and replies on published stories, but with specific rules in place to ensure fairness and clarity:

Only top-level comments and replies written by Vocal+ creators count toward the Leaderboard.

Comments or replies written by the story’s own author are excluded.

Creators do not need to be a Vocal+ member to appear on the list.

A creator can only appear once per week, but may appear multiple weeks in a row.

AI-generated content is not eligible, ensuring every winning piece reflects human creativity and effort.

These rules help maintain consistency while spotlighting the stories that genuinely resonate across the community.
