We're not only here for the beauty,
we are here for the battle as well.
We are here for the splendor, the glitz and the majesty.
Above all, to defend the weakness and vulnerable tendencies of our humanness and our giftedness and the jewels encrusted in the eyes of our children.
The joy to soothe the glare of confounded, pathetic stairs and flares.
The rash are rations, too meager and brief.
The pump, but empty toast from the least deserving the most,
not just to bask in, to revel,
but to defiantly reject and deny anything less than the truth.
