The Tapestry of Us

A Quiet Love Woven From Ordinary Moments

Love isn't some quick flash in the pan,

Or something that just disappears, man.

It's the quiet vibe under the moon,

A soft beat patching up hurts you can't see soon.

It's in mornings that smell like you just woke,

How we hold hands like we don't care anymore,

How our jokes add memories to life

That last way longer than something written in sand on the shore.

Love is sticking it out when things get rough,

The soft you got this when it's hard to find words,

It gets bigger when we can just be quiet together,

With trust that might break, but hasn't...yet.

I see it in your eyes, a deep ocean, see?

With memories of all our old days

And I jump right in, without a second thought,

Knowing I'm home as long as you are near a spot.

It's like unexpected poetry in normal days,

Tea tasting better when we're both drinking it,

The fun of inside jokes and quiet smiles and praise,

Knowing someone actually gets me, legit.

Love isn't all sunshine, it can get a little weird,

It marks softly, and teaches bit by bit,

It's the crazy stuff we take in without a fear,

A sweet burn, like it’s something real we both commit.

It's being brave enough to say what we wish,

Taking a chance, even if it could hurt,

Finding someone who gets how your soul goes fish,

And seeing yourself freshened up is quite a quirk.

Love is shown, not just talked about big,

Like our fingers touching, or a little knowing look,

Just being near each other, patient throughout the dig,

Believing in us, no matter what curve fate took.

So, let's love like rivers love the ground,

Cutting paths, but still bending when we must,

Filling sad places with light all around,

Always going, always holding, always helping us.

Because love isn't a story that ends,

Or a show needing cheers that never descend,

It's two hearts mixed together as one,

A quiet song that whispers, soft and none,

“You're good enough, always will be, when days end.”

Love doesn’t always shout — sometimes it just stays. This poem is about the quiet moments that build something real. I’d love to know: what small, ordinary thing makes you feel most loved?
