The Old Man and the Elephant

The Old Man and the Elephant

By Omar Mohammed Published 6 months ago 1 min read

One dusty afternoon, an old man named Salem hobbled along a narrow desert path, leaning on his cane. His weathered face told stories of a long life. Suddenly, a massive elephant lumbered toward him, its trunk swaying gently. Salem froze, heart racing, as the beast’s shadow loomed large.

Instead of charging, the elephant stopped, eyeing Salem curiously. Trembling, Salem offered a handful of dates from his pocket. The elephant’s trunk delicately plucked them, and it let out a soft rumble, almost like a thank you. Salem smiled, his fear fading.

“Old friend,” he said, “we both walk this road alone, don’t we?”
