Yesterday, It was really a survival of the fittest, as we all struggled to secure a seat in a bus heading to Abuja from Nassarawa. As we proceeded on this journey of ours, this thought came alive in me.
For like 5 hrs in the bus, we were all seated enjoying the ride even when the road was making it more of a regrettable journey.
I realised nobody alighted at a bus stop they weren't ready to drop, I also realised everyone waited patiently for their turn before alighting from the bus Individually.
Some persons dropped at maraba some dropped at Nyanya and others at AYA bus stop. As nature would have it, I was the last person to alight from the bus at Apo roundabout
Why? Because my destination was the last bus stop.
So, my question is this, why didn't I drop 3 bus stops from mine? The answer is simply because I haven't gotten to my destination. Right?
So, what happens sometimes when you feel nauseated in the bus, do you drop without getting to your destination? Hell NO! You hold yourself until you get to your bus stop.
Instead, you encourage yourself in the Lord as you get closer to the your desired destination. Isn't it? In the same vein, let's take a look at life's journey individually.
We're uniquely wired to function based on our capacity. We are uniquely wired to breakthrough at certain or specific time in our lives.
That your friend attained certain levels in his career, simply means he/she has gotten to his destination career wise.
That your friend got married means he/she has gotten to her destination marital wise.
That your friend secured a job or invented a business idea means it's their time to.
Everyone of us will arrive at our destination, it's just a matter of time coupled with hard work.
The kind of patience you exercise when you are in traffic along Lagos - Ibadan expressway that doesn't make you alight from the bus is the same patience you need to exercise even as you wait for your turn.
This life na turn by turn.
Just enjoy, celebrate with others and push harder while you get to your bus stop of achievements.
May God grant us the grace we need to get to our bus stop of achievements.
