The Day I Finally Started
What building a business really looks like when you begin with nothing

I reached a point where I couldn’t keep saying “one day.” I was tired of my own potential sitting in notebooks and voice notes. I wanted more than ideas. I wanted movement.
Starting my business wasn’t a fancy announcement or some big leap of confidence. It was quiet. I just woke up one morning and decided I was done waiting for the right time. I had already wasted enough of it.
I didn’t have a full plan. I didn’t even have much money. What I did have was a vision that wouldn’t leave me alone and this stubborn belief that I could make something out of nothing.
From there, everything became a lesson. Learning how to build a site. How to talk about my art. How to keep showing up when nothing was selling. Some days I felt unstoppable. Other days I questioned if I was crazy for even trying.
But every time I thought about quitting, I remembered the version of me that was still dreaming, still praying for a chance. I couldn’t let her down.
Building a business taught me what faith really means. It is patience. It is resilience. It is working when no one sees you and trusting that the right people will.
Now when I look at what I’m creating, I see proof of what happens when you finally start. Not because everything is perfect, but because you decided to move anyway.
If you’re waiting for a sign, this is it. The dream is real. The fear is too. But start anyway.
