The Bite of the Apple

Deja Vue

By SASSY CHOS3NPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

In a world wired tight with silent lies,

We scroll through truths in disguise.

The internet whispers in every ear,

But the more we know, the more we fear.

I lift an apple toward the light—

Red, perfect, shining bright.

But a question rises in my mind:

Is this real… or engineered behind?

Lab-born fruit with a flawless skin,

3D-printed foods we’re letting in.

A grocery aisle full to the brim,

Yet the truth grows blurred and dim.

How do so many stores stay stocked?

Where does all that chicken flock?

How can one city feed so much,

When nature’s limits lose their touch?

And so I stand, my thoughts unbound—

What poisons hide in what we’ve found?

Not just in food, but in the screen—

A world too perfect to be clean.

We bite, we scroll, we live, we learn,

But deep inside a question burns:

Are we consuming… or being consumed?

In a poisoned world we never assumed
