If you are eating indiscriminately, know the benefits of vegetables and fruits according to colors...

Friends, our lifestyle will be called healthy when we start eating healthy things in our diet. The health of our body depends on healthy and nutritious eating habits. We often start ignoring these habits in the process of adjusting our lifestyle and that is where all the problems start. A balanced diet is an easy way to fulfill the health needs of your body without falling prey to wrong information and wrong diet. Following the Rambo Food concept in a balanced diet gives many benefits. From the name Rambo Food, it can be understood that it includes foods from different color families.

Food of different colors not only makes your plate colorful and fun, but each color food plays a major role in providing our body with a special phytochemical. Every food contains phytochemicals, which give it its color. These phytochemicals are nothing but antioxidants in the form of pigments that help fight free radicals or toxins in the body and help maintain immunity. Giving color to every food is in the hands of nature and is a way for people to understand what different colors do for the body. So let us tell you what role each color plays in fulfilling the nutritional needs of your body in the form of Rambo Diet.

1) Red:- The red color of apples, apricots, watermelons, strawberries, tomatoes and pomegranates is given to them by the phytochemical lycopene, which has tremendous antioxidant properties. Lycopene is known for its properties in fighting heart diseases, some types of cancer and even sunburn. The powerful antioxidant and vascular protective effects present in beets have been shown in several human and animal studies. Even red wine contains antioxidants through catechins, and it is believed that if consumed in moderation, it can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. Apart from this, fruits like apples should be included in your diet, as they are a rich source of fiber that facilitates bowel movement and helps in keeping the intestines healthy.

2) Green:- We all know how beneficial green vegetables and herbs are for us, but what makes them beneficial? Green vegetables contain calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, vitamins B, C, E and some of the most essential nutrients and minerals. The pigment chlorophyll available in green vegetable plants also helps in neutralizing free radicals and removing toxins from the body. Apart from that, green vegetables are a natural deodorant, so definitely eat them.

3) Yellow:- Yellow colored foods are mood boosters. This is very good for your skin, eyes, bones and hair health. Yellow colored foods get this color from vitamin C and collagen, which is a protein made up of amino acids and has anti-aging properties. Yellow foods are also rich in bioflavonoids and carotenoids which help fight cancer. So if you want your body strength, glowing skin and healthy hair, then include yellow fruits like bananas, mangoes, pineapples, peaches and sweet potatoes in your diet.

4) Blue-Purple:- Although this color is very rare, blueberries, black grapes, eggplants and eggplant-colored cabbage are rich in health-promoting phytochemicals called anthocyanins and resveratrol, which are rich in antioxidants. Resveratrol has anti-aging and disease-fighting properties. Anthocyanins have anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties, which mainly help fight cholesterol, heart disease and Alzheimer's. This food is also known to increase the strength of immunity and other antioxidants that are already present in your body.

5) Orange:- If you want to improve your eyesight and body's immunity, eat lots of orange-colored foods. Orange foods can give you that glowing complexion thanks to beta-carotene, which is a form of vitamin A. Nothing can improve your eyesight better than vitamin A, nor can it boost your immune system. So, eat foods like oranges, carrots, and pumpkin to get your fill of potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, fiber, lycopene, and flavonoids.

6) White:- Foods in this category may lack color, but they are not lacking in nutrients. Whether it's the calcium, protein, and healthy bacteria called probiotics in Greek yogurt, or the vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, and fiber in cauliflower. Nutrient-rich white foods include cauliflower, garlic, onions, and mushrooms, offering essential health benefits. It contains health-promoting chemicals like allicin and alanine, which improve blood pressure and also help reduce total and LDL cholesterol levels.
