This piece explores the idea of connection and isolation. The two pear-like figures stand side by side but never quite touch, their shadows stretching away from each other like unspoken thoughts. The left figure, painted in lighter greens, symbolizes hope and renewal. The right, shrouded in darker tones, reflects grief and memory.
I created “Shadows of Two” during a period of emotional conflict—torn between holding onto the past and stepping into the future. The blurred, almost unfinished background suggests a world in transition, where clarity hasn’t yet arrived.
It’s a meditation on relationships: how two people can share space, light, and shadow, yet remain their own separate selves
