Saffron Zarda Shahi Pulao

Ingredients

45 minutes

3 servings

3/4 bowl basmati rice

pinch turmeric

1/2 teaspoon ghee

Water

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup shredded coconut

Few dry fruits

Saffron

Khadra masala

2 pieces cinnamon

2 pieces cardamom

2 teaspoons ghee

Cooking instructions

First soak the rice in water for 1/2 hour then add ghee turmeric in hot water and boil it for 1/2 hour. Remove it from the heat and cool it.

Now when the ghee is hot in a pan, add Khadra masala coconut dry fruits and fry until golden brown. Then add milk and sugar to it and mix well.

Then add rice to it and mix gently and serve hot.

Then take it out in a ghee-greased bowl and put it on a plate. Remove and garnish with rose petals.
