Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL 2024: Full Squad with Prices
RCB is gearing up to start their IPL 2024 campaign with a season-opening match against Chennai Super Kings on March 22. As excitement builds, let’s take a look at the RCB 2024 player list with prices, team strategies, potential lineups for home and away games, and key players to watch.
Despite being a well-known team, RCB has yet to win an IPL title. They’ve reached the finals three times but haven’t been able to secure a victory. In the previous season, a century by Shubman Gill ended their playoff hopes, narrowly missing a spot in the Eliminator.
RCB finished in sixth place in IPL 2023, winning seven out of 14 league games. They struggled in the middle order, and Mohammed Siraj didn’t get much bowling support, which led to them missing the playoffs for the first time in four years.
Interestingly, they performed better in away games than at home, with close losses to CSK and LSG at their Chinnaswamy Stadium proving costly. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis were standout performers, combining with Glenn Maxwell to score 70% of the team’s total runs, totaling 1369 runs between them.

RCB’s Retained Players
Heading into the IPL 2024 auction, RCB retained 18 players, including top names like Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Mohammed Siraj. This shows their commitment to keeping a strong core group of players.
RCB entered the auction with a budget of INR 40.75 crores and had seven open spots. They secured six players, with their biggest buy being Alzarri Joseph for INR 11.5 crores. Other key signings included pacers like Lockie Ferguson (INR 2 crores) and Tom Curran (INR 1.5 crores), along with Indian bowler Yash Dayal (INR 5 crores).
