Olivia Rodrigo is one of the most popular and talented singers and actress of our time. She was born on February 20th, 2003 in Temecula, California. She attended Lisa J. Mails Elementary School and Dorothy McElhinney Middle School. She grew up in a family of music lovers. Her father, a Filipino-American is a family therapist, and her mother is a teacher of German and Irish ancestry. At a very young age Olivia developed a passion for singing and performing. She started playing the piano at age seven. Speaking with MTV UK in 2021, she revealed that it was actually her parents who pushed her to take piano lessons at a young age.

“I had my first proper piano lesson when I was probably nine years old, and I hated it. I would cry before every lesson,” she told the publication. “But, in hindsight, I’m very glad I was forced to be in piano lessons because I use those skills that I was taught every day. Playing piano is one of my favorite things to do now, so (I’m) grateful that my parents forced me to do that.”

Olivia considers her parents her BFFs. Speaking with The Guardian, she talked about growing up as an only child, noting how her parents were her “BFFs” growing up.

“I’ve always been a real goody two-shoes,” she told the publication. “My music can be my form of teenage rebellion. There’s songs that are so angsty and intense.”

She first appeared onscreen in an Old Navy commercial. Shortly after in 2015, at age twelve, she made her acting debut portraying the lead role of Grace Thomas in direct-to-video film An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success. Olivia's big break came in 2019 when she landed a role in the Disney plus series High School Musical. In this musical series she played the character Nini Salazar-Roberts. She also contributed to the show's soundtrack which led to her breakthrough hit “Driver's License” in 2021. This song was a massive success and went viral on social media. The song topped charts worldwide and Olivia's emotional and heartfelt lyrics captured the hearts of millions of fans.

She revealed that her mom played a big role in this hit single “Driver’s License.” Speaking with MTV UK, Rodrigo revealed that the car sounds in the song were actually taken from her mom’s car. Interestingly enough, her mom wasn’t the biggest fan of the song when Olivia first played it for her.

“When I played ‘Drivers License’ for the first time for my mom, she goes, ‘The bridge is really weird. It’s too much; it doesn’t fit with the rest of the song,’” she revealed during an interview with Apple Music. “In hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t take that to heart, but she’s very honest. But, I mean, obviously, she’s my mom and would support me in whatever I did, but I just thought that was a funny little anecdote.”

Her debut album “SOUR” was released in May of 2021, and was an instant hit. The album features songs that deal with heartbreak, self-reflection, and growing up. Olivia's success isn't just limited to her music career. She's also an accomplished actress having won the young artist award for her role in the Disney series Bizaardvark. She has won several Awards including three MTV Video Music Awards, an American Music Award, and a Brit Award. In addition, she's also an advocate for various social causes including LGBTQ plus rights and mental health awareness.

What does Olivia's lifestyle look like? Well, despite her massive success Olivia is still a down-to-earth person who values her privacy. She's known for being humble, kind, and genuine. She often spends time with her family and friends. She's a big fan of vintage fashion and has been seen wearing clothes from the 90s and early 2000s. When it comes to her music, Olivia draws inspiration from her own life experiences. Her lyrics are often deeply personal. She's a talented songwriter as well, and plays multiple instruments including the guitar and piano. In her free time Olivia enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with nature. She's a big fan of Harry Potter and has been spotted wearing Hogwarts merchandise. Olivia's rise to fame has been nothing short of extraordinary. Her talent and hard work have earned her the respect and admiration of fans and critics alike.

If my bio can be in the form of a quote, it would be: Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people's thinking. -Steve Jobs
