New Year's Eve

It's a small town. The air was covered with a white blanket, snowflakes continued to fall incessantly. The smoke rising from the chimneys of the houses hung in the air and created a magical atmosphere. Under the dim light of the street lamps, the snow shimmering, the old wooden houses of the town looked even warmer and more inviting.

Ayse, a little girl who lives in this town, was looking forward to New Year's Eve. They were going to stay at home with their family this year, as they do every year. But this year was a little different. Ayşe's best friend Mehmet was going to celebrate New Year's Eve at Ayşe's house for the first time this year because he had just moved in.

When he woke up in the morning, the snow landscape fascinated him. He immediately jumped out of bed and ran to the window. Everything was white outside. He was dying to go out to make a snowman. After quickly making his breakfast, he called Mehmet and invited him out as well.

When Mehmet came to Ayşe's house, they were both very excited. They went out into the garden to make snowmen. After a while, they made a huge snowman. The snowman had coal eyes and a carrot nose. They also put on his hat and completed it.

After making the snowman, it was time for the snowball fight. Ayse and Mehmet started throwing snowballs at each other. Laughter was echoing in the garden. During the game, Ayşe accidentally hit Mehmet with a snowball and Mehmet's hat fell to the ground. They both broke down in laughter.

When they entered the house, their mother had prepared hot chocolate. Ayse and Mehmet, sipping their hot chocolate, were watching out of the window. The snowflakes were still falling.

In the evening, they had dinner as a family. After dinner, they opened their gifts. Ayşe had given a book to Mehmet and Mehmet had given a game to Ayşe. After opening their presents, they all went into the living room together. They were gathered by the fireplace, singing Christmas carols.

As the clock was approaching midnight, Ayşe and Mehmet ran to the window. They went out to welcome the new Year. Fireworks exploding in the sky, together with the snow, had created a magical image. Ayse and Mehmet hugged each other and celebrated the new year.

This New Year's Eve had been an unforgettable night for Ayşe. This night, which she celebrated with her best friend, would remain in her mind for the rest of her life.
