This is a pencil sketch that I drew quite a long time ago. I liked it as a pencil sketch, but then just recently I decided to use my favorite medium of crayon and colored this way. I wanted it to look like a somewhat deserted house on the frontier. Please share your thoughts on this for I would appreciate it very much.

Lighthouse
This is a pencil sketch of a lighthouse where I used various shading skills and lines to indicate the sun's rays and the sides of the building. (Note: I know that the picture is sideways, but for some reason when held the other way it was not big enough to post, but sideways it was able to post.)

Every Brushstroke Was a Wish
In the small, quiet town of Avelar, there was a woman named Lena who painted with the kind of passion that only the truly lost could understand. Her cottage was perched at the edge of a vast forest, the kind of place where the whispers of the trees seemed to reach through the windowpanes, mingling with the rhythm of her brush against canvas. People in the town would pass by and sometimes glance at the paintings displayed in her window. But few, if any, understood the soul of her work.

Very nicely done!
I like the river flowing...it keeps the old house company and gives potential for life. The mountains seem to protect the home from the rest of the world.
