The mirror is her first audience. Then come the shadows, the light, and finally — the followers.
Rose Meli Dee doesn’t just do makeup. She becomes the creature. From haunted nymphs to otherworldly beasts, every look she posts on TikTok feels like a portal to another realm. Her name has been buzzing in circles of SFX artists and horror fans alike. But she didn’t get here by accident.
“I always thought the monsters were the misunderstood ones,” she says. “So I give them a voice. With paint.”
Working from her home studio in Quebec, Rose builds characters layer by layer — latex, body paint, fine brushes — then steps into them under cinematic light and haunting music. Her videos are short, yes. But they leave you with chills. Some laugh. Some flinch. Others save and share them like rare collectibles.
She’s been spotlighted by Geeks Are Sexy for her cosplay at Comiccon, and La Nouvelle Union listed her among the new wave of Québécois artists using social media to revive dark fantasy. And she’s just getting started.
