Egyptology.

Just based on the name, what would you imagine that is?

I am not attempting to mislead you.

It's the scientific study of ancient Egypt, as the name plainly suggests.

a long and illustrious culture that lasted for about 3,000 years, from 3100 BCE to 332 BCE.

Ancient Egyptians themselves were the first people to be documented as Egyptologists, such was the extent of their culture.

You would think that after all this time, professionals researching it, would know just about everything there is to know about the ancient treasures discovered here, wouldn't you?

Alright, no.

Egyptologists have uncovered discoveries that surpass their comprehension even after decades of inquiry.

Worse still, that terrifies them.

It's time to examine some shocking discoveries made in Egypt that have alarmed Egyptologists, from cruel burial customs to mathematical miracles.

Mummies are a well-known aspect of ancient Egypt.

Mummy, not mommy.

However, you may miss your mother once we finish here.

Mummification is the process of removing moisture from a body to create a dried form that is resistant to degradation.

The Egyptians nearly perfected the method, resulting in over 70 million mummies.

In 2021, a newly unearthed mummy stood out among others.

A 4,000-year-old mummy was discovered within a tomb in Aswan, also known as the ancient city of Swenett.

Archaeologists were surprised to discover a different mummy.

During their investigation into Egyptian queen Hatshepsut's reign, the crew experienced a sequence of ominous omens, indicating that they should avoid the burial site.

The journey was hampered by a blinding sandstorm and the harsh desert conditions.

When the squad arrived at the hiding place in the cliffs, Hatshepsut was not present. However, someone else was.

However, this 4,000-year-old mummy was not real.

When the lid of the clay tomb was lifted, they discovered a skeleton wrapped in a black shroud. Despite not being properly buried, the skeleton was perfectly preserved.

The discovery of the skeleton's identity was even more shocking.

Bone experts identified the remains as those of a lady roughly 70 years old.

In ancient Egypt, people lived for only 25 to 35 years on average.

Due to the hazards associated with childbearing, female life expectancy was often lower, making reaching the age of 70 rare.

Her identity and longevity remain unknown.

Well, that's OK.

A mysterious skeleton that no one is able to recognize or explain is nothing to be afraid of.

Please hold me.

Tunnels lead to the tomb.

The Great Pyramid of Giza is considered one of the seven great wonders of the World of Ancient Times, and with good cause.

At 454 feet tall, this structure has a volume of ninety-two million cubic feet and is built of limestone, granite, and mortar.

The stones contain tombs for Khufu, and his queen, with engraved halls and chambers.

Egyptologists have devoted 4,000 years to exploring and studying this magnificent site.

In February 2023, infrared scans of the stone construction showed many gaps and a 30-foot corridor above the main entrance, surprising scientists worldwide.

Scientists utilized an endoscope, a small camera on a six-millimeter stick, to visualize the tunnel without disturbing the stones.

Currently, no one knows what lies beyond.

Scientists advise against sealing the entrance to a possible burial chamber.

Currently, the room is fully inaccessible.

The purpose of many underground corridors remains unknown due to a lack of concrete proof.

The new corridor is unique in that it is the sole entrance tunnel built above ground level. This complicates scientists' understanding of the chamber's contents.

For now, the enigma remains, keeping experts on edge.

If it took a thousand years to unearth this secret room, what else could be waiting to be revealed?

What secret do you believe the Great Pyramid hides?

Could this be additional burial chamber?

Perhaps something forgotten was left to protect the king and queen in their endless slumber.

Let me know in the comments.

Don't forget to like and subscribe.

All done?

What is our next dark discovery?

Perplexing pyramids.

The size of the Pyramids of Giza is impressive, but seeing them all together truly captures their grandeur.

The most impressive aspect is their accuracy, rather than their size or age.

These pyramids are all geometrically perfect, which could be attributed to a strange coincidence, a mastery of geometry, or supernatural intervention.

They follow two universal mathematical principles: the golden ratio and pi, in addition to having almost identical bases.

Scientists observed that dividing the perimeter of a pyramid by its height yields a figure that is only 0.1% off from the computation of pi, the ratio of a circle's circumference to diameter.

The golden ratio occurs when the ratio of the two figures equals the ratio of their addition to the greater quantity.

The ratio of a pyramid's slant height to half of its base dimension nearly matches this number.
