The Evolution Of Artistic Creativity

True Creativity Has No Limits

Art. What is art in general? I'd say art is in the eye of the beholder. A personal perspective on creativity. In an era of digital technology, a new form of creativity has emerged and has been embraced by thousands of amateur and professional artists alike.

Digital art has opened multiple doors to creativity, and many artists experience that, in some ways, digital creativity has more advantages compared to traditional art. The digitization of art has inspired many creative individuals to experiment with various digital art tools to bring their creativity to life.

Basically nowadays, in every art-related area, there is some kind of digital technology that is used for creativity. For good reason. Digital photography, for example, has surpassed the traditional one due to the multiple advantages it has to offer. A photographer using a digital photo camera can easily immortalize any moment several times without worrying about running out of film. The camera lasts longer, due to its battery, and there's enough space on a simple memory disk for hundreds or even thousands of photos. The quality of images in digital photography is also spectacular, and they can be tweaked and manipulated in various ways due to software applications like Photoshop or Lightroom.

Most modern digital photo cameras also last much longer, as they are more durable and resistant to the external elements compared to their traditional counterparts.

Digital photography has literally revolutionized the art of photography and opened new ways to photographic creativity. The same applies to other artistic areas as well, like cinema or digital pencil drawing and painting. Through innovative digital technologies like drawing tablets, an artist can basically create any piece of art with a stylus pen that perfectly copies the sensation of a traditional pencil. An artist can draw, illustrate, or paint on a digital tablet and can produce marvelous artworks.

Digital drawing also comes with a series of advantages. There's no need to cut down trees in order to produce paper, and a single digital pencil's tip can last for several months or even years, even if it's used on a daily basis.

A digital drawing tablet can produce hundreds and thousands of artistic creations, illustrations, or paintings, with unlimited potential for creative art. Basically, digital art in general can be just as beautiful and attractive as traditional art. In fact, in many ways, digital art is vastly superior to traditional art due to the nearly unlimited options it has to offer. Digital art can produce outstanding quality artworks for artists to explore, experiment, and edit their artworks in any way they see fit.

Digital art also offers the amazing possibility to share artistic creations in a much more practical and easier way with the world. Evidently, the potential of artistic creativity lies within each artist alone. Artistic creativity is born from the very soul of the artist and cannot be replaced by any technological means. This much is obvious.

However, the future of the various creative tools that artists use to bring their imagination to life lies within the technological innovations our modern digital society has to offer.

As humanity evolves, so do artistic creativity and its tools. From the rudimentary artistic tools that have been used in ancient times, now, due to several technological advancements, modern artists have the opportunity to evolve their artworks to another level as well.

So regardless of the artistic medium, be it either the process of creating a movie, a beautiful drawing or painting, or just simply taking a few snapshots with our camera, there is no doubt that the digitization of art has made the entire activity of artistic creation more enjoyable and perhaps more productive.

The tools of the trade might have changed, but the potential to create art remains within the very soul of the artist.
