Corn Rolls

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

12 bread

For the filling

1 cup mashed sweet corn

1 tablespoon oil

1 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies

1/2 cup finely chopped onions

1 teaspoon soy sauce

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Other required ingredients

3 tablespoons plain flour (maida)

Oil, for frying

For serving

Schezwan sauce for serving

Tomato ketchup for serving

Directions

In a bowl, mix the flour with about 5 tablespoons of water, mix well and keep aside.

Cut off each side of all the bread slices.

Now, lightly press each slice of bread with the help of a rolling pin.

Place one slice of bread prepared in this way on a clean, dry surface, put a tablespoon of the prepared filling on one side of it and roll the bread tightly.

Apply the flour mixture on the end of the roll prepared in this way and close the side of the bread completely.

Prepare another 11 rolls as per method number 4 and 5.

Now heat oil in a non-stick pan, add a few rolls in it and fry on medium heat until the rolls turn golden brown on each side. After taking them out, place them on a tissue paper and let them dry.

Cut each roll into two pieces diagonally and serve immediately with schezwan sauce or tomato ketchup.

For the filling

Heat oil in an open non-stick pan, add green chillies and onions and fry on medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

Then add corn kernels, soy sauce, salt and pepper, mix well and sauté on medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until the mixture becomes dry, stirring occasionally.

Keep the prepared mixture aside to cool.
