Carpenters Workshop Gallery to Showcase Beth Cavener's "Trust"
A Bold Exploration of Vulnerability Through Sculpture

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / September 4, 2024 / Carpenters Workshop Gallery is pleased to present Trust, a solo exhibition by American artist Beth Cavener, in collaboration with Jason Jacques Gallery. The show will run from September 12 to November 2, 2024, at Carpenters Workshop Gallery in Los Angeles.
Trust delves into the multifaceted nature of trust - how it's earned, broken, and rebuilt. Inspired by the cultural and personal upheavals of recent years, Cavener's sculptures offer a poignant reflection on the state of human relationships in today's world.
The exhibition's centerpiece, Shards, features a life-size lion sculpted from 2,800 pounds of clay. Once a symbol of power, the lion is now fragmented and vulnerable, embodying the struggle to mend what's been broken. Other works, such as Captive and Trust Me, explore themes of fear, manipulation, and the inherent risks of trust.
