"Bobo the Penguin and the Warm Sun"
In the far south, in the land of ice and snow, lived a little penguin named Bobo. Bobo was curious and full of energy, but he dreamed of something different… he dreamed of seeing the warm sun!
One day, Bobo asked his mother:
"Mom, is it true there are places without ice?"
His mother smiled and said, "Yes, my dear, there are warm places, but we penguins love the snow and cold water."
But Bobo wasn’t convinced. He decided to go on his own adventure. He said goodbye to his friends, swam far and long, and hopped from one ice block to another, until he grew very tired.
One morning, Bobo woke up to a warmth he had never felt before... The sun was shining gently on his feathers! He opened his eyes and found himself on a sandy beach, with palm trees swaying in the breeze, and strange birds singing around him.
Bobo was so excited—but then he noticed something odd...
The heat made him thirsty, and the water wasn’t cold enough to enjoy. And there were no other penguins to play with!
After just two days, Bobo started to miss his icy home. He thought to himself:
"The snow is cold, but it hugs me. The icy water is chilly, but it makes me happy."

He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and took private art courses with artist Theodore Chasseriau. In 1857 Moreau went to Italy and studied the paintings of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Giovanni Bellini. He became the professor of the artists Henri Matisse and Georges Rouault at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. The Musée National Gustave Moreau is in Paris.
